We conducted survey throughout the district for hot spot identification. Angul district is an industrial district, pushed the population in to heavy workload and addiction towards Drug, Alcohol & other intoxicants,so within two quarters (6 months) we treated 182 numbers of addicts through our health camps and dispensary present at our ODIC present at Gotamara, Angul. Our ORWs conducted 180 sessions of group meeting in villages, market area and slums. 2319 numbers of persons belong to high risk group(HRG) participated in our one to one and group sessions. Our Centre in charge cum counselor organized 12 numbers of advocacy meetings with target population and stake holders. We conducted one to one and group counseling among the community in office and outside office. We made screening and referred addicts to our clinic. Doctor treated the addicts and counseling support and moral support was provided by our staffs. Street theater(Pala) , street corner meeting, distribution of highly educative leaflets was conducted in hot spots present in villages, slums, market area and hutting. We organized our programmes in the hot spots present at Banharpal market, Angul bus stop, Chhendipada village, Jarasingha puruna sahi, NALCO Township hutting etc. Previously it was run in the name Drug Awareness for community, but now it is ODIC.
