Skill Development Programme & Training on Aquaculture

 

AABAHANA is running a demonstration farm at Hatabaradi & Gamai for promotion of Aquaculture i.e. freshwater prawn culture, crab fattening, Cat fish culture, Bio-flock aqua farming & Air Breathing fish culture. During 2019-20 we gave training to 42 nos. of fish farmers of village Sundarpur of Khordha district . Techniques brought forward from RGCA( Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Aquaculture, Thirumulaivasal), CIBA(Central Institute of Brakish water Aquaculture, Chennai), CIFA(Central Institute of Fresh water Aquaculture, Kausalyaganga) for non conventional aquaculture. Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Govt. of India sponsored only machineries to set up Food Processing Training Centre(FPTC) at Gamai. Now we are running the centre very successfully. We gave food processing training to 61 members of women SHGs.
